In 2008, CTA co-published the first Swahili title in the Agrodoks series, on smale-scale mushroom cultivation. This booklet contains detailed information on how to grow three types of mushrooms: oyster, shiitake and wood ear mushrooms. Opening with an outline of the biology of mushrooms, it discusses mushroom farms, spawn production, substrate preparation, fruiting, harvesting and post-harvest handling.
