Search

To carry out a search, click on 'Search by title, author, ISBN number and/or Free text' to select your entry. Key/type in the title (or part of the title), author's name, ISBN number or a keyword. Click on 'Go' to obtain the results of your search. If there are several publications, these will appear chronologically, starting with the most recently published title. A search by 'Free text' will give you the list of the publications containing the selected word in their titles or abstracts. If the result of your search is not satisfactory, please choose a synonym for another search (e.g., replace 'chicken' by 'poultry').

To search by category, click on any of the seven book spines, each of which corresponds to a given subject category. Your search results will appear chronologically, starting with the most recently published title. To obtain additional explanations on each given category, simply place your cursor on the relevant book spine.

To see the five latest publications on CTA's list, click on 'New titles' at the top of the page.

Output

Your search results are arranged chronologically, starting with the most recently published title.

The following information will appear on the output page: book cover (where applicable), title, author(s) and/or editor(s), year of publication and a summary. For bi- or tri-lingual publications, the title is given in the relevant languages, separated by an oblique (,).

The credit points relate to CTA's credit allocation system. For details of this system, see 'Ordering publications from CTA'

The readership code is provided so that users can see at a glance the intended readership of a publication. The readership is divided into five groups:

1 Practical level (e.g., farmers)
2 Practical level with basic notions of theory (e.g., field workers)
3 Technical and socio-economic aspects of management
4 Strategies and socio-economic aspects of decision-making
5 Advanced level (e.g., researchers)

You can also find information on the availability of a publication by selecting the relevant icon: [the icon itself here if the publication is available, if the stock is low; if the title is out of stock.

If you wish to order a publication, click on 'Order' for the different possibilities: 'You are a PDS subscriber'; 'You wish to become a PDS subscriber'; 'You wish to buy the publication'.

Some publications are downloadable from the e-catalogue (especially publications produced exclusively by CTA). To download the full text of a publication, click on the Download link under the relevant book cover
